"On november 10th I was born on Egglkofen castle and have worked at some prominent German companies like Daimler Benz, Krupp and BMW in different, sometimes leading positions after my technical and commercial training in the industry.

A completely new mission was handed over to me by my family, when I had to take over our families property in 1969, more or less surprisingly. There it was my duty to transfer a completely conservative company into the 20th century, nearly in piecework. This meant not only a huge number of legal battles, but also to build a modern agriculture according to the market and its chances. Thank god I have done this quite well with the help of my wife until today, what resulted in the establishment of the meanwhile nationwide known noble distillery “Ernestine Gräfin Montgelas“ instead of a brewery ready for the scrap heap, where the processing has been brought the the highest standard by generating heat from raw materials growing again and where I have taken part decisively at the establishing of agricultural gamekeeping, once as the deputy federal chairman but also meanwhile nearly 20 years as Bavarian chairman. Starting from zero a new agricultural sector has been established and extended from a hardly recognized exotic product to an interesting alternative agricultural product.

Of course I have felt committed to my family tradition, to contribute in politics, be it through advice, scriptures or as a regional representative. Recently I have vehemently voiced against Turkey´s integration into the European Union with the aim to prevent a catastrophe for the newly emerging Europe."
